VISA™

VISA™ PLATINUM

Let New Trier Federal Credit Union provide you with our low-interest VISA™ credit card. The interest rate is fixed at a low 9.9% APR--no tricky introductory rates here! And, better yet, there is no annual fee! For added convenience, have your VISA payments paid directly from your NTFCU share account to save time and postage!

NTFCU does not automatically raise credit limits on VISA. If you currently use a NTFCU VISA and would like a higher limit, please submit a completed VISA application. Specify the new limit you are requesting. The credit committee will act on it promptly. The maximum VISA credit limit is $10,000.

Benefits on our Visa card include extended warranty protection, auto rental insurance, travel and emergency assistance, fraud protection around the clock, dispute resolution, travel accident insurance, online payments and account information, zero liability, and worldwide acceptance.

VISA™ Debit

Wouldn't it be nice to leave the checkbook and all of your credit cards behind when you go out? Now you can! New Trier Federal Credit Union's VISA™ Debit card is a debit card that you can use in place of cash or checks, and it's accepted everywhere Visa™ cards are accepted.

Next time you want to pay by check, just present your VISA™ Debit card instead. The amount of the purchase will be deducted from your checking account, and you'll receive a receipt for easy record keeping. And every transaction will be listed in your checking account statement.

When you need cash in a hurry, you can use your VISA™ Debit card as an ATM card at any easy-to-find Star, Cirrus, Co-op, Allpoint or Alliance 1 automatic teller machine.

Important information regarding VISA - Because of insurance issues, no NTFCU VISA transactions will be allowed in the following countries: Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Russia, or Ukraine. If you plan on traveling to these countries do not try to use your NTFCU VISA debit or credit card/s--they will not work. If you know of any members that travel to these countries, please pass this information along. Contact the Credit Union office with your questions. Any time you plan on traveling, you should inform the Credit Union. That enables us to monitor your account for any fraudulent activity.
